Welcome to Dokpa Expeditions. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our website and the terms of booking our adventure services. By accessing this website or booking a trip with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Company Information
Dokpa Expeditions is a travel and adventure company based in Ladakh, India. We specialize in mountaineering, trekking, cultural tours, and adventure holidays throughout Ladakh and Zanskar.
2. Booking and Payment
- All bookings must be made through our official website or authorized representatives.
- A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of the trip as per the invoice or communication provided.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, online payment gateway, or other approved methods.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by Dokpa Expeditions.
- Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- 60 days or more before departure: 80% refund
- 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund
- 29 days or less before departure: no refund
- No part of the trip cost is refundable once the journey has commenced.
4. Trip Alterations and Delays
Dokpa Expeditions reserves the right to alter any itinerary or service due to weather conditions, natural events, flight cancellations, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any additional costs arising due to these changes will be borne by the participant.
5. Travel Insurance
All participants are strongly advised to have valid travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellations, and personal accidents.
6. Health and Fitness
Participants must be in good health and physically fit for the chosen activity. It is the client’s responsibility to inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or disabilities that may affect participation.
7. Risk and Liability
Adventure travel involves inherent risks. Dokpa Expeditions is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or death resulting from factors such as accidents, illness, political unrest, natural disasters, or third-party negligence.
8. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Dokpa Expeditions will not be held accountable for loss or damage of any personal items during the trip.
9. Conduct and Behavior
Participants must follow the instructions of our guides and respect local customs, communities, and the natural environment. Misconduct may result in termination of the trip without refund.
10. Photography and Media
Dokpa Expeditions reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during trips for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in such materials, please inform us prior to the trip.
11. Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes shall be settled under the jurisdiction of the courts in Leh, Ladakh.
