Markha Valley Trek

8 Days

The Markha Valley Trek is one of Ladakh’s most iconic trails, traversing deep gorges, ancient monasteries, and high mountain passes with stunning views of the Stok and Kang Yatze ranges. Starting near Spituk or Chilling, the route follows the Markha River through traditional villages, willow forests, and open plains at altitudes reaching over 5,000 meters. Trekkers camp by rivers, visit remote monasteries, and interact with welcoming Ladakhi families. The trek blends raw Himalayan wilderness with rich local culture, offering both physical challenge and spiritual reward. Ideal for intermediate trekkers, it’s best undertaken between June and September when the trail is free of snow and the villages are lively.

A scenic 8-day adventure through Ladakh’s Markha Valley, crossing rivers, high passes, and remote villages surrounded by snow-capped peaks. This trek offers a perfect mix of culture, adventure, and breathtaking Himalayan beauty.
